Martin King’s London-based project brings together voices from the UK, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Canada, and the United States

Martin King, known for his work in Test Dept and Pigface, will release a new full-length under the Dogtablet name on May 1st via GIVE/TAKE, on CD and digital.

King has been based in London since the mid-1980s, when he joined guitarist Steve White (KMFDM, PIG) in Tragic Roundabout and Pulse. He became part of Test Dept (read our interview with Test Dept) in 1990, touring and recording with the group and contributing to the Totality, Legacy, and Tactics for Evolution albums. Following the band’s signing to Martin Atkins‘(read our interview with Martin Atkins) Invisible Records, King joined Pigface for the A New High in Low and Redneck tours.

The core of Dogtablet is King alongside Roberto Soave, who has worked with The Associates, Shelleyan Orphan, and Presence. Past collaborators include Groovie Mann (My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult), Jared Louche (Chemlab), Roger Ebner (Pigface), Curse Mackey, Betty X, Jane Jensen, KPT, and DEATHDANCE.

Designed to Fade brings together contributors from the UK, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Canada, and the United States. The sound combines trip-hop with orchestral string arrangements, synthesizer lines, organic sound design, and glitch processing.
