Nati Infiniti by Alessandro Cortini Set for October Release
Alessandro Cortini, an Italian musician, instrument-builder, producer, and composer, has announced the release of his latest project, Nati Infiniti. This 40-minute composition is divided into five movements and is based on an immersive audio installation initially presented at the Museu de Lisboa’s Fábrica da Moagem, a former flour mill. The installation was commissioned by Sónar Lisboa 2022 and spanned four floors of the building, each level evoking different states through Cortini’s sound design.

Description: Alessandro Cortini announces his new album Nati Infiniti, set for release on October 4, 2024, with North America and Europe tour dates to follow.
Nati Infiniti captures the essence of the original installation, highlighting the interconnectedness of the four floors. The work unfolds continuously, creating an evolving auditory experience for listeners. Cortini utilized the Strega instrument, co-designed with Make Noise, for this project. The album, mixed and mastered by Marta Salogni (known for her work with Björk, Depeche Mode, and Lucrecia Dalt), will be released on vinyl, CD, and digital formats.

Alessandro Cortini is a key figure in contemporary electronic music, notable for his atmospheric compositions. He is a long-time member of Nine Inch Nails and has released music on labels such as Mute, Hospital, and Important Records. Cortini has collaborated with artists including Lawrence English, Daniel Avery, and Merzbow. He is the only Italian musician inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Cortini co-created the Strega instrument and the forthcoming Bruxa module with Make Noise. His work spans various genres, and he has also composed music for fashion shows by Alexander McQueen, Dior, and Fendi, as well as for the Disney/Hulu show The Bear. He has produced remixes for Depeche Mode, Mogwai, Death Cab For Cutie, Yann Tiersen, and Vatican Shadow.
The live audio-visual performance of Nati Infiniti debuted at Berlin’s Atonal Festival. Following a series of sold-out performances, each featuring an improvised version of the piece, Cortini will tour North America and Europe throughout 2024 and into 2025. Additional dates will be announced.
