Black Lips formed in Dunwoody, Georgia as an offshoot of earlier bands the Renegades and Reruns, releasing their first seven-inch on Die Slaughterhaus label in 2002. Current lineup includes founding members Cole Alexander and Jared Swilley alongside drummer Oakley Munson and saxophonist Zumi Rosow.
