Artist: Meridian Brothers

Meridian Brothers is an experimental band from Bogotá, Colombia, founded in 1998 by Eblis Álvarez. Known for integrating Colombian music forms such as cumbia and vallenato with electronic and avant-garde components, the group’s approach challenges conventional genres. Initially a solo project, Meridian Brothers expanded to include additional musicians in 2007, adding layers of saxophone, synthesizers, percussion, and bass. Their albums include Desesperanza, Los Suicidas, and Cumbia Siglo XXI, each examining varied musical traditions, from salsa to highlife.
