Where Past and Future Collide in Music, Art, and Film
Mick Harvey is an Australian musician, composer, and producer with a career spanning more than four decades. He was a founding member of The Birthday Party and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, contributing significantly to both groups’ development. His collaborations extend to artists such as PJ Harvey, for whom he co-produced the album Let England Shake, which earned him the 2011 British Producer of the Year award. In addition to his work in rock and alternative music, he has composed soundtracks for feature films, short films, and documentaries. Harvey has released ten solo albums, including Five Ways to Say Goodbye (2024), and received the AFI Best Original Score award for Suburban Mayhem in 2006.
