Artist: Rotersand
Rotersand is a German electronic music duo formed in the early 2000s, consisting of Rascal Nikov (vocals) and Krischan Jan-Eric Wesenberg (production, programming). The project emerged from the futurepop and electro-industrial scene, releasing its debut album Truth is Fanatic in 2003. Subsequent releases, including Welcome to Goodbye (2005) and 1023 (2007), established the band within the European darkwave circuit. Wesenberg is also active as a producer and mastering engineer, contributing to various electronic and industrial releases. The group is associated with lyrical themes that address surveillance, social tension, and digital alienation, often paired with club-oriented structures and synth-heavy arrangements. Live performances have included appearances at festivals such as M’era Luna and Wave-Gotik-Treffen.
