Artist: The Normal

The Normal was the solo project of British musician Daniel Miller, established in 1978. Known for its minimalist electronic style, The Normal is best remembered for the single “Warm Leatherette” / “T.V.O.D.,” which combined stark synthesizer rhythms with dark, dystopian themes inspired by technology and media. This release, often cited as a pioneering work in electronic and industrial music, laid the groundwork for Miller’s later role as the founder of Mute Records, a label influential in the development of electronic and alternative music.
