Baltimore band returns with Brian McTernan produced album via Run For Cover Records

Angel Du$t have released DU$T, the fourth single from their upcoming album Cold 2 The Touch, due February 13th via Run For Cover Records. The track opens with acoustic guitars and Justice Tripp’s vocals before moving into blast beats and distorted guitars, ending with a breakdown. A music video for the song is available now.

Cold 2 The Touch runs 26 minutes and marks the first release featuring drummer Nick Lewis and guitarist Jim Carroll. The album was recorded with producer Brian McTernan, who worked on earlier Angel Du$t material and has credits including Turnstile, Balance & Composure, Bane, and Converge. The band’s current lineup also includes guitarist Steve Marino and bassist Zechariah Ghostribe.

Guest vocals on the album come from Scott Vogel of Terror on Pain Is A Must, Wes Eisold of American Nightmare and Cold Cave on Zero, Patrick Cozens of Restraining Order on Downfall, Frank Carter on Man On Fire, and Taylor Young of Twitching Tongues and Deadbody on The Beat. Previous singles from Cold 2 The Touch include the title track, The Knife, and The Beat.

Tripp has stated the album’s lyrics address mortality and commitment. According to the vocalist, I’m The Outside reframes the concept of outsider identity, while other material on the record deals with conflict. The band has described the album as their most collaborative work to date, with Lewis recording in a professional studio for the first time and Carroll bringing experience from bands including Suicide File and Hope Conspiracy.

Angel Du$t formed in 2013 as a side project from Tripp’s work with Baltimore hardcore band Trapped Under Ice. The band’s approach combines hardcore energy with melodic elements and has evolved across multiple releases. Their previous album, Brand New Soul, was released in 2023. Angel Du$t have announced a North American tour in support of Cold 2 The Touch.
