Swedish Metal Group Cult of Luna Announces RED CRK Studio Album

Swedish post-metal band Cult of Luna will release its tenth studio album, titled In the Shadow of Your Shadow, on November 6th through the label RED CRK.

Founded in Umeå, Sweden, in 1998, the group previously issued a self-titled debut album in 2001, followed by The Beyond in 2003, Salvation in 2004, Somewhere Along the Highway in 2006, Eternal Kingdom in 2008, Vertikal in 2013, Mariner in 2016, A Dawn to Fear in 2019, and The Long Road North in 2022. The upcoming release has a running time of 71 minutes and contains musical contributions from Joe Duplantier of the band Gojira and David Eugene Edwards. A single for the title track has been made available online alongside an accompanying music video. According to guitarist and vocalist Johannes Persson, the lyrical themes of the title track center on a internal traitor and the return of a hidden, destructive aspect of the persona. The band has also scheduled live performances at the ArcTanGent and Damnation Festival events in the United Kingdom.
