Ecce Shnak releases Shadows Grow Fangs through Record Man Records
New York-based band Ecce Shnak, has released its debut EP, Shadows Grow Fangs, through Record Man, Records. The five-track release is accompanied by a video for the title track. The band has also shared a separate video for the song The Internet.

The group consists of David Roush (composer, bassist, vocalist), Bella Komodromos (vocals), Chris Krasnow (guitar), Gannon Ferrell (guitar), and Henry Buchanan-Vaughn (drums). The EP explores various thematic elements, ranging from reflections on interpersonal relationships to critiques of the internet.
The EP was recorded and produced by Jeff Lucci at The Art Farm in New York. Mixing was handled by Nicholas Vernhes, whose previous work includes collaborations with Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Wild Nothing, and The War on Drugs. Mastering was done by Greg Calbi, a Grammy-winning engineer associated with artists such as John Lennon, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, Patti Smith, and Tom Petty.
The track Shadows Grow Fangs was written approximately 15 years ago. According to Roush, it addresses misunderstandings between individuals during moments of abandonment and emotional distress, reflecting on the resulting consequences.
The song The Internet carries a critical perspective on online culture, presented through the lens of a fictional time-traveling poet. Previous releases from the EP include Prayer on Love, a slower-paced composition, and Jeremy, Utilitarian Sadboy, a short piece inspired by the English philosopher Jeremy Bentham, incorporating elements of math-metal, post-rock, and choral music.
Ecce Shnak’s EP release event is scheduled for February 26 at The Red Pavilion in New York. Shadows Grow Fangs is available on streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.
