Famous Post-Party Album Single “Demons in London” Features Ava Gore Vocals

South London band Famous have returned with new single “Demons in London”, their first release since 2024’s debut LP ‘Party Album’. The track arrives via untitled (recs) alongside video material and precedes festival appearances plus a headline show at London’s ICA later this year.

“Demons in London” features vocals from Silver Gore’s vocalist Ava Gore, whose voice cuts through Jack Merrett‘s familiar vocal approach. Silver Gore are a London alt-rock duo consisting of drummer Ava Gore and Yorkshire musician Ethan P Flynn, who have performed live extensively despite minimal recorded output. Ava Gore has performed solo sets accompanying other artists, building a reputation within London’s music circuit.

The collaboration represents a departure from the extended recording process that produced ‘Party Album’. That album consisted of nine love songs functioning as memoir about sobriety and maturity, developed across multiple years. “Demons in London” emerged from winter 2025 sessions, with Merrett describing it as addressing death, God, love, and nuclear war.

Famous originated from the South London Brixton Windmill scene in 2017, initially as a sextet including recent Oscar nominee and pop artist Jerskin Fendrix. The band evolved from sextet to trio across their ‘England’ and ‘The Valley’ EPs, before Merrett became the sole consistent member for ‘Party Album’. Merrett functions as the band’s primary songwriter and what he calls the “annoying arbiter” of when songs reach completion.

The debut album was recorded at The Kinks’ former studio Konk in North London, resulting in material that spanned eight years of development. The current single moves away from that extended gestation period, positioning itself as immediate work responding to current conditions.
