Warsaw Blackened Sludge Group FIASKO Announces New Album
Polish extreme metal band FIASKO completed their second full-length album “AMOK ꓘOMA.” The recording follows their 2020 EP “Mizantropolia” and contains eight compositions with Polish-language lyrics exploring themes of mortality and despair.

The production process involved multiple studios: instrumental recordings at Santa Studio with Mikołaj Kiciak, vocal recordings at Burning Tones with Adam Ziółkowski, who also mixed the album. Haldor Grunberg executed the mastering at Satanic Audio. Robert A. von Ritter created the cover artwork, while Kontamination Design‘s Paweł Marzec developed the album layout.
The 45-minute album features session drummer Tomek Walczak, who joined the project in 2023 to arrange and perform the drum sections. Walczak maintains active involvement with multiple bands including Chainsword, Tankograd, and Weedpecker.
Distribution plans include jewelcase CD format and digital streaming platforms, with additional availability through Godz ov War Productions and Malignant Voices.
FIASKO emerged in Warsaw in 2014 from the dissolution of So I Scream. Their initial musical direction incorporated alternative metal with electronic elements, documented on their 2017 debut “Głupcy umierają.” Personnel changes led to their evolution toward blackened sludge metal, first exhibited on their 2020 EP “Mizantropolia.” The band’s sound combines black metal, sludge, doom metal elements, and cold wave influences, with lyrics exclusively in Polish.
