Gogol Bordello Releases Second Single “Hater Liquidator” Ahead of 2026 Album

Gogol Bordello will release We Mean It, Man! on 13th February 2026 through Casa Gogol Records, the label run by frontman Eugene Hütz. The album was co-produced by Nick Launay, who has worked with Nick Cave, Gang of Four, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Amyl & The Sniffers, and IDLES, alongside Adam “Atom” Greenspan, who shares production credits on recent Amyl & The Sniffers and IDLES releases.

The second single “Hater Liquidator” follows the title track released earlier. The album contains twelve tracks and continues the electronic direction the band began exploring in their 2023 collaboration with Bernard Sumner of New Order and Joy Division on “Solidarity”. That track appears again on the new album with Sumner’s involvement, this time as a version of the Angelic Upstarts’ Solidarność-era punk song.

Hütz describes the album as bringing together punk, gypsy music, hardcore, and techno, citing it as the band’s most concentrated multimedia approach since Gypsy Punks, which Steve Albini produced. The production incorporates electronic layers, loops, and gated-drum patterns. Tracks include “No Time For Idiots”, described in the announcement as riff-based punk with a prominent chorus, and “Life Is Possible Again”. Two other songs, “Ignition” and “Mystics”, were previewed as examples of the album’s post-punk dance construction.

The band will tour North America starting 13th February, with a date at Knockdown Center in New York on 27th March. They have also scheduled New Year’s Eve performances. The tour follows a two-month European run that concluded with an appearance at the World Forum for Democracy in Strasbourg. Support acts on the European dates included Son Rompe Pera, Split Dogs, and Puzzled Panther, the latter having recently released an EP titled Fits of Serenity.

Gogol Bordello formed in 1999 in New York’s Lower East Side. Eugene Hütz, born in Ukraine, arrived in the United States in 1992 after living as a refugee in Poland, Hungary, Austria, and Italy following the Chernobyl disaster. The band’s lineup has rotated over the years but has included accordionist Yuri Lemeshev, violinist Sergey Ryabtsev, guitarist Oren Kaplan, and percussionist Pedro Erazo. Their previous albums include Multi Kontra Culti vs. Irony (2002), Gypsy Punks: Underdog World Strike (2005), Super Taranta! (2007), Trans-Continental Hustle (2010), Pura Vida Conspiracy (2013), Seekers and Finders (2017), and Solidaritine (2022). Hütz has also acted in films including Everything Is Illuminated (2005) and Filth and Wisdom (2008), the latter directed by Madonna. Hütz has worked with Nova Ukraine and ArtDopomoga on Ukrainian solidarity efforts and organized benefit concerts with Patti Smith, The Hold Steady, and Suzanne Vega. The band performed at major festivals including Glastonbury, Roskilde, and Lollapalooza, and toured with acts such as Primus and System of a Down.
