I Speak Machine releases new material on 26 April 2025

I Speak Machine, the electronic project of Los Angeles-based composer and vocalist Tara Busch, returns with Guts of Love, featuring guest vocals from Gary Numan and drums by Roy Mayorga. The track was co-produced by Busch and Dean Honer of I Monster, who has also collaborated with All Seeing I and The Human League.

Guts of Love combines Busch’s sharp-edged vocal delivery with Mayorga’s percussive work, known from his contributions to Ministry and Jerry Cantrell. Numan’s presence is immediately recognisable, cutting through the dense structure of hammering synthesizers and aggressive rhythms.

The single precedes a series of live performances through spring 2025. I Speak Machine will play headline and support dates, including shows with The Jesus Lizard at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on May 3 and at the Fillmore in San Francisco on May 5. Additional dates include Gold-Diggers in Los Angeles on April 19 with special guest Lana Del Rabies, Portland’s Coffin Club on May 10 with Nuxx Vomica, Semantix, and Jeff in Leather, and an appearance at Goth Pride Los Angeles on June 20 at Echoplex.

I Speak Machine was initiated by Tara Busch as a multimedia project, combining film, experimental electronics, and performance. Previous work includes the albums Zombies 1985 and War, as well as collaborations with filmmaker Raf Razzak and releases through Lex Records. Busch has a background in both classical and electronic music and has cited early influences such as Brian Eno, Delia Derbyshire, and Wendy Carlos.
