The live album Appearance by modular experimental artist Invictus Hi-Fi is scheduled for release on January 31, 2025. The album will be available through streaming and digital download platforms.

This release is based on live-streamed performances conducted in May 2024, shortly after the release of Invictus Hi-Fi’s second album, The Vanishing. These performances were recorded in the artist’s studio located in eastern England and featured live remixing techniques influenced by Dub sound systems. The album presents reinterpretations of tracks from earlier albums and singles, creating distinct versions of the compositions through live experimentation.

Invictus Hi-Fi is a modular experimental artist whose music draws on electronic, esoteric, and experimental traditions. Influences include Boards of Canada, Neutral Milk Hotel, Burial, Steve Reich, and Brian Eno, alongside inspiration from 20th-century documentary films. The artist’s work incorporates modular synthesis and techniques that emphasize exploratory soundscapes.

Videos accompanying each track on Appearance will also be released, offering a visual component to the live sessions.
