J Mascis has released “Say It On,” a track recorded during the 2017 sessions for Elastic Days, through Sub Pop. The song appears on digital streaming platforms today with cover art by his son, Rory.

The track previously surfaced as a Japanese B-side for Elastic Days and on the 2025 Fire Relief Compilation Gimme Shelter, compiled by FLOOD Magazine. Its digital availability begins now. Mascis recently opened for My Bloody Valentine at Wembley Arena in London.

J Mascis formed Dinosaur Jr in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1984 with Lou Barlow and Murph. The band released You’re Living All Over Me in 1987 and Bug in 1988 before Barlow’s departure. Mascis continued Dinosaur Jr as the primary member through the 1990s, releasing albums including Green Mind (1991) and Where You Been (1993). The original lineup reunited in 2005. Mascis has released five solo albums since 2011, beginning with Several Shades of Why. His guitar work spans collaborations with various artists across alternative and indie rock contexts. Elastic Days appeared in 2018 on Sub Pop.
