JakoJako Shares New Track ‘Dragon Bridge’ from Upcoming Album Tết 41
JakoJako, the Berlin-based modular synthesist also known as Sibel Koçer, has released a new track titled “Dragon Bridge”, which will be included in her forthcoming album Tết 41. The album will be released on 25 April 2025 through Mute, both digitally and in a limited edition vinyl format.

The track is named after Cầu Rồng, the 666-meter-long Dragon Bridge located in Đà Nẵng, Vietnam. Built to resemble a dragon and capable of emitting fire and water during public performances, the bridge served as the inspiration for this composition. Koçer produced the track while staying in Vietnam in 2024, the year of the Dragon in the lunar calendar.
The album Tết 41 incorporates material developed over several years, using a minimal hardware setup consisting of a Eurorack modular system and a Waldorf Iridium Core. Koçer opted to forgo her usual use of a computer for mixing and arrangement, instead relying solely on the hardware’s sequencers and effects to construct the record.
The production includes field recordings taken during Lunar New Year festivities and integrates them with melodic and rhythmic structures processed through analog devices. The work draws on Vietnamese environments and experiences, particularly those encountered during Koçer’s travels with her mother, and connects them with her personal engagement with electronic music.
The tracklist reflects her interest in generative systems and modular composition, with loops and arpeggios building kinetic sequences. Her focus lies in direct interaction with the machines, using repeated engagement to develop physical familiarity with her equipment.
Koçer has previously held a residency at Berghain in Berlin and has performed live and DJ sets at various venues internationally. Her work often addresses the use of hardware in contemporary electronic music and involves experimentation with structure and pattern rather than fixed genre conventions.
Tết 41 will be released by Mute on 25 April 2025.
Sibel Koçer, professionally known as JakoJako, is a modular synthesist, producer, and live performer based in Berlin. Originally trained as a nurse, she began working at SchneidersLaden, a well-known modular synthesizer store in Berlin, where she deepened her understanding of synthesis and modular equipment. Her involvement with electronic music developed through practical engagement with modular systems rather than formal training.
She gained visibility in the techno and experimental scenes through performances at institutions such as Berghain and through releases on labels like Mute and Leisure System. In addition to solo releases, she has collaborated with artists such as Rødhåd and Alva Noto, and has contributed to compilations focusing on modular synthesis. Her music typically emphasizes real-time interaction with hardware, often built from improvisational structures and minimal setups.
