King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard Phantom Island out 13 June 2025

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard return with their 27th studio album, Phantom Island, scheduled for release on 13 June 2025. The album comprises ten tracks and is available across multiple physical formats including LP (recycled black vinyl), CD, cassette, and Dolby Atmos Blu-ray Audio. A deluxe edition of the LP features a gatefold sleeve and a double-sided pullout poster. An additional version includes a tour photo by Maclay Heriot, inserted individually into a limited batch of vinyl pressings.

Formed in Melbourne in 2010, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard consist of Stu Mackenzie, Ambrose Kenny-Smith, Joey Walker, Cook Craig, Lucas Skinner, Michael Cavanagh, and Eric Moore (who was a member until 2020). The band’s catalogue spans microtonal experiments, garage rock, thrash metal, psychedelic repetition, and acoustic work. They established Flightless Records in 2012. Past releases include Nonagon Infinity (2016), Flying Microtonal Banana (2017), Infest the Rats’ Nest (2019), and multiple albums issued in 2022 including Laminated Denim and Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava.
