The Hamburg industrial group’s 24th album arrives on Metropolis Records with new lineup additions

KMFDM will release their 24th studio album, titled ENEMY, on 6th February 2026 through Metropolis Records. The album arrives two weeks before the band begins a European tour that has largely sold out. A single, ‘Oubliette’, is scheduled for 12th December.

The current lineup consists of Sascha ‘Käpt’n K’ Konietzko and Lucia Cifarelli on vocals and songwriting, drummer Andy Selway, and new guitarist Tidor Nieddu, a London-based musician who contributes to the album. Sascha Konietzko founded KMFDM in Hamburg in 1984. The project’s early recordings were made in Germany before Konietzko relocated to the United States, where the band signed to Chicago label Wax Trax! in the late 1980s. The 1995 track ‘Juke Joint Jezebel’ reached the Billboard charts and appeared on film soundtracks including Bad Boys and Mortal Kombat. Rammstein and Korn both opened for KMFDM on tours during the 1990s. The band ceased activity in 1999 after completing their tenth album for Wax Trax!, but Konietzko revived the project in 2002, signing to Metropolis Records with a new lineup that included vocalist Lucia Cifarelli, previously of Drill, and Tim Skold, who subsequently joined Marilyn Manson. Konietzko and Cifarelli moved back to Germany in 2008 and have maintained a consistent recording and touring schedule. The band released LET GO in 2024, the same year they marked four decades of activity. A 20th anniversary edition of HAU RUCK, remixed and remastered, was released in May 2025.
