Description: Yoo Doo Right shares new single Eager Glacier ahead of their third album From the Heights of Our Pastureland, out November 8 via Mothland.
The new track, “Eager Glacier,” features heavy drumming and dense layers of synthesized sounds, intertwined with intense electric guitar work and fluctuating melodies. The composition integrates elements of ambient, post-rock, and drone metal, creating a wide-ranging sound. The video for “Eager Glacier” was created by Stacy Lee, who stated that the project explores the boundaries between reality and the subconscious.
Since its formation in 2016, Yoo Doo Right has released two full-length albums, Don’t Think You Can Escape Your Purpose and A Murmur, Boundless to the East, as well as three EPs and multiple singles, including a 7″ split with Acid Mothers Temple. The band has toured extensively across Canada, the United States, and Europe, performing at festivals such as SXSW, Levitation, and Dunk! Fest. They have also shared the stage with DIIV, A Place to Bury Strangers, Wooden Shjips, Kikagaku Moyo, and FACS.

Yoo Doo Right’s forthcoming album, From the Heights of Our Pastureland, was largely conceived during a retreat to a cabin in Saguenay, Quebec, in the winter of 2023. The band spent three days recording and developing ideas inspired by various natural and societal themes, including environmental disasters and socio-political upheaval.
The album was produced by Seth Manchester at Machines with Magnets in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and mastered by Amar Lal at Macro Sound in Oakland, California. The final product is a 42-minute collection of experimental rock, combining complex soundscapes and heavy rhythms.

Yoo Doo Right’s music is often compared to bands like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Big|Brave, and METZ, and the new album continues to develop the themes and styles from their previous works, with a darker and heavier approach.
