Sydney Duo Party Dozen Drop Mad Rooter Single, UK Shows This Month
Party Dozen have released Mad Rooter, the first track from a double A-side 7″ out December 5th through City Slang. The single pairs Mad Rooter with Ghost Rider. The Sydney duo play six UK dates in November.

The track was recorded without a click track. Jonathan Boulet used a guitar with faulty electronics and missing strings to create the sample. Kirsty Tickle‘s saxophone solo references the David Letterman show opening theme.
Party Dozen is Kirsty Tickle on saxophone and Jonathan Boulet on drums and percussion. The pair formed in Sydney in 2017. Tickle previously played in Mere Women and has worked as a session musician. Boulet released solo albums under his own name between 2009 and 2012 on Modular Recordings and has produced records for other artists. The duo’s first album, Party Dozen, came out in 2017, followed by The Living Man in 2019, The Real Work in 2022, and Crime in Australia in 2024. Crime in Australia reached number seven on the Australian album chart. They recorded a version of Macabre with Nick Cave for his Idiot Prayer sessions in 2020. In 2023, they worked with billy woods on a track for his Maps album.
Party Dozen toured Europe with Amyl & The Sniffers earlier this year, then played US dates with Lambrini Girls. They returned to Europe for a run of headline shows and festival appearances. In Australia, they have toured with King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Previous tour supports include Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Spiritualized, Tropical Fuck Storm, and Algiers.
The UK dates run from November 18th in London through to November 24th in Glasgow, with stops in Brighton, Leeds, Bristol, and Manchester.
