Alexandre Bazin and Clément Beauvais present All Things Return to One

Reptile Reptiles, a French duo consisting of electronic musician Alexandre Bazin and composer-director Clément Beauvais, will release their first full-length album, All Things Return to One, on March 28, 2025, through Constructive. The project features a collaboration with Indigenous actor Gary Farmer, who provides spoken word narration throughout the album.

The album consists of nine tracks, each forming part of a conceptual narrative that explores themes of existence and transcendence. Farmer’s voice delivers a long-form poem, guiding listeners through different stages of a spiritual journey. The release serves as a tribute to his performance as the character Nobody in Jim Jarmusch‘s 1995 film Dead Man.

Bazin, associated with Groupe de Recherches Musicales (GRM), Important Records, and Umor Rex, contributes an ambient electronic soundscape, while Beauvais incorporates guitar-based elements and text-based compositions. The musical approach has been compared to Neil Young’s score for Dead Man, Ry Cooder’s Paris, Texas soundtrack, and works by Fennesz, Dylan Carlson, and Loren Connors.

Gary Farmer

Farmer is also known for his work as a blues musician, performing with his band Gary Farmer and the Troublemakers. His participation in All Things Return to One continues his involvement in projects that center Indigenous voices and storytelling.
