Rona Rougeheart SINE project shares Succomb To Me on Metropolis

SINE, the project of US drummer and multi-instrumentalist Rona Rougeheart, has put out a new single titled Succumb To Me through Metropolis Records. Curse Mackey of Pigface co-produced the track with Rougeheart, and Mark Pistel, who has worked with Consolidated and Meat Beat Manifesto, handled the mastering. The song combines industrial elements with disco structures and sub bass, fitting what Rougeheart calls ‘electronic boom’.

According to Rougeheart, the track emerged during work on her next album. “While working on my next album, I decided to open a new session and start something fresh just for fun,” she said. “As another track began to form, I was really loving the vibe, so I anchored it around two deep synth bass hits that pan right and left to give the listener a surround sound experience, especially in headphones. The lyrics seemed to write themselves as I recorded scratch vocals, just letting it flow. The lyrics are cheeky and a little sinister, with a dash of sex appeal. It’s definitely one of my favourite SINE tunes to date!”

SINE joined Metropolis Records in 2024 and put out Trauma Bondage in September of that year. This past summer, she completed North American tours alongside Void Palace and Clan of Xymox, and appeared at the Cold Waves XIII Festival tour in Austin on 19th September. A new album is in progress for 2026.

Rougeheart was born in New York and now works out of Austin, Texas. Her father, a musician, taught her keyboards and guitar before she moved to drums. She has endorsement deals with Gretsch Drums, Gibraltar Hardware and Roland. After opening for Bauhaus, bassist David J recruited her for his Shiva Saves project, which also involves Curse Mackey and Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs in a rotating lineup. Her other work includes sessions and collaborations with Adrian Sherwood, Meat Beat Manifesto, Clan of Xymox, Chris Connelly of Pigface and Revolting Cocks, Mark Pistel, Andee Blacksugar, who has played with KMFDM and Blondie, Xiu Xiu, and the late Mark Stewart of The Pop Group.
