EROS Set to Release Debut Album ‘Your Truth Is A Lie’ on 1 November via Downwards Records

The international trio EROS, composed of Karl O’Connor (Regis, UK), Liam Andrews (My Disco, Australia), and Boris Wilsdorf (Andere Baustelle Tonstudio, Einstürzende Neubauten), has released a new track, “Schlag, Spiel Mir in die Hände,” featuring vocals by Rosa Anschütz. The song is accompanied by a video directed by Italian visual artist Marco Ciceri and is part of their forthcoming album, Your Truth Is A Lie, scheduled for release on 1 November 2024 under Downwards Records.

“Your Truth Is A Lie” builds upon the foundation established by EROS’s earlier mini-album “A Southern Code” (2022). The new album incorporates reworked versions of two tracks from the mini-album, featuring contributions from Rosa Anschütz and pianist Annie Hogan.

Karl O’Connor, also known by his stage name Regis, is a British electronic musician and co-founder of Downwards Records, established in 1993. Active since the early 1990s, he has been influential in the development of the Birmingham techno scene.

Liam Andrews is an Australian musician who serves as the bassist and vocalist for the band My Disco, formed in Melbourne in 2003. The band is associated with minimalist and post-punk styles and has released multiple albums while touring internationally.

Boris Wilsdorf is a German sound engineer and producer affiliated with Andere Baustelle Tonstudio in Berlin. He has worked extensively with the band Einstürzende Neubauten as their engineer and producer. Wilsdorf began his career at Hansa Tonstudios under Jon Caffery.
