Release Date: 2026-01-30

Description: Scott McCloud releases the video for Make It To Forever. The debut solo album arrives January 30 on God Unknown Records, recorded in Athens, Greece.

The recordings originated at Zero Gravity studios in Athens, Greece, with engineer Dimitris Dimitriades. The sessions began as a series of skeletal tracks featuring only acoustic guitar and vocals. McCloud returned to Athens for subsequent sessions to add arrangements to these initial sketches, utilizing a group of guest musicians to maintain the sparse nature of the original recordings. The lyrical content focuses on memory, urban environments, and the internal dialogue of the songwriter.

McCloud relocated to Vienna, Austria, after decades based in the United States. His career began in the Washington D.C. post-hardcore scene during the late 1980s as the guitarist for Soulside, a group associated with the Dischord Records label. Following the dissolution of Soulside’s first incarnation, he moved to New York City and formed Girls Against Boys. That group released material through Touch and Go and DGC, touring extensively throughout the 1990s. McCloud’s other musical projects include Paramount Styles, an ensemble featuring a rotating cast of collaborators, and AGRIO, a project involving members of the Italian band Ardecore.
