Los Angeles-based Sextile announces new album yes, please. on Sacred Bones Records
Los Angeles-based duo Sextile, will release their album yes, please. on May 2, 2025, through Sacred Bones Records. The band, consisting of Melissa Scaduto and Brady Keehn, is currently on a U.S. tour with Molchat Doma and has announced an extensive European tour for the summer.

The announcement is accompanied by the release of the single “Freak Eyes.” The track features a bass-heavy introduction leading into a techno beat incorporating cowbell and hi-hat elements. The lyrics, delivered by Keehn, address the pressures associated with creativity and daily life.
Keehn has described “Freak Eyes” as an attempt to capture the energy of New York house parties where certain tracks would halt conversations, compelling attendees to focus on the music. He noted that he wanted to recreate this atmosphere, emphasizing collective emotional release through music.
A music video for “Freak Eyes” was directed by Alfredo Lopez. Lopez stated that he first listened to an early version of the album at Keehn’s residence and later developed the concept for the video. The production was completed in December 2024, just before Lopez traveled to Paris. The video was shot using vintage lenses, with Lopez citing Darius Khondji’s late 1990s and early 2000s cinematographic style as an influence. Most of the post-production took place in Paris.
Sextile was formed in Los Angeles, drawing from a range of musical influences including no wave and hardstyle. The duo signed with Sacred Bones Records, releasing their album Push in 2023.
The upcoming album yes, please. combines electronic elements with personal themes. The record features high-energy compositions alongside introspective moments. The band incorporates influences from various electronic music styles, blending aggressive beats with introspective lyrics.
