Jessica Dobson is a Seattle-born musician who leads Deep Sea Diver. Within the band, she collaborates with drummer Peter Mansen, her husband, and keyboardist Elliot Jackson. The musical approach developed in Deep Sea Diver involves layered instrumentation and lyrics that intertwine personal narrative with complex musical arrangements.
After debuting with EP New Caves in 2009, Deep Sea Diver produced three albums: History Speaks (2012), Secrets (2016), and Impossible Weight (2020). The latter featured collaboration with Sharon Van Etten. Each release builds on the band’s foundation in the indie rock and art pop spheres, blending introspective lyricism with evolving soundscapes.
