Recorded at Larkins Farm nearly three years ago, Moon Is Doom Backwards features a mix of prolonged atmospheric quiet and bursts of intense sound, marked by heavy percussion and dissonant instrumentation. The album evokes an unsettling atmosphere through subtle drum rhythms and a pervasive electrical hum, creating sudden contrasts between stillness and chaotic energy. Its influences include cult horror films and urban themes, echoing the dark orchestral style of Leonard Bernstein.

The limited edition release of Moon Is Doom Backwards comes in “Glistening Green” Deluxe Eco Mix Vinyl, featuring artwork by the band’s percussionist Kaz Buckland, and includes a screen-printed outer sleeve. Human Worth has pressed a small number of these special editions.
