Pin Ups album release date and tracklist for The Dandy Warhols
The Dandy Warhols have turned to the 1979 Damned catalogue for their latest output, a baritone-led reconstruction of “Love Song.” The track arrives ahead of Pin Ups, a covers LP due March 20, 2026, via Beat The World and Little Cloud Records. It follows a Zia McCabe-fronted version of Violent Femmes’ “Kiss Off,” shifting the vocal duties back to Courtney Taylor-Taylor for a slower, more deliberate iteration of the original punk gallop. Description: The Dandy Warhols cover The Damned: A first look at their upcoming 'Pin-Ups' album and their tribute to punk royalty.
The project is an explicit nod to David Bowie’s 1973 tribute of the same name, functioning less as a standard collection and more as a selective map of the band’s aesthetic history. The tracklist pulls from various corners of the post-punk and psych-pop canon, featuring interpretations of The Cramps, The Byrds, and The Runaways, alongside heavier hitters like The Beatles, The Clash, and Bob Dylan. Much of the material—including takes on Gang of Four and The Cure—is salvaged from unreleased sessions, B-sides, and obscure international compilations.

Taylor-Taylor cites the Damned‘s Machine Gun Etiquette as a top-ten personal essential, viewing this recording as a chance to treat the vocal delivery with a “whip in slow motion” rather than a punk snarl. Guitarist Peter G. Holmström frames the selection as a record of professional and personal proximity; many of the artists covered, from The Runaways to the Femmes, share histories or friendships with the Portland quartet. This archival deep-dive follows the band’s recent 2024-2025 cycle, which saw the release of ROCKMAKER, its remix counterpart Rock ReMaker, and a collaborative stint with The Oregon Symphony.
The Dandy Warhols—comprising Taylor-Taylor, Holmström, McCabe, and Brent DeBoer—have occupied their 10,000-square-foot Odditorium facility in Portland since the mid-2000s. Since forming in 1994, the group’s trajectory has moved from the psych-rock of The Dandy Warhols Come Down (1997) to the commercial saturation of Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia (2000), a period documented in the 2004 film Dig!. DeBoer has remained the constant on drums since 1998.

Pin Ups is set for release on vinyl, CD, and digital formats.
