The Speed of Sound marks 35 years with the album trilogy A Cornucopia Minerva Victory Bounty
The British band The Speed of Sound has released a three-album collection titled A Cornucopia: Minerva, Victory, Bounty through Big Stir Records. The trilogy marks the band’s 35th anniversary and is available in digital, CD, and vinyl formats. Alongside the album launch, the band has released a music video for the track “Permafrost.”

Minerva includes tracks such as “Trickledown,” “The Great Acceleration,” “Mind Palace,” and “West Wind.” Victory features compositions like “Underground,” “Monsoon,” “Permafrost,” “E to F,” and “Go For It.” The final album, Bounty, contains ten songs, including “No Kicks,” “Virtual Reality123,” “Replicant,” and “Artificial Paradise.”
The Speed of Sound consists of:

The albums were recorded, mixed, and mastered at Vibratone Sound Studio in Manchester by Chris Guest, Adam Crossley, and the band members. Additional contributions include Bob Dinn on trumpet and flugelhorn, Chris Guest on harmonium, vibraphone, and organ, and Alex Armstrong playing typewriter on the track “Yet Another Tuesday.”
The Speed of Sound was formed in 1989 in Manchester, UK. The band’s style incorporates elements of 1960s rock, punk, and new wave. They released Museum of Tomorrow in 2021 before working on A Cornucopia. Over the years, the group has maintained an independent approach to music production and distribution, emphasizing artistic control.
