Do You Want It All arrives ahead of Tommy Down’s 2025 EP
Tommy Down released the single Do You Want It All? on 28 February 2025 through Declo Grey. The track premiered via CLASH Magazine. Down, a London-based musician, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, has collaborated with producers including Jeffrey Silverman, Jon Shave, and Jason Pebworth of Invisible Men. He has performed at Camden Rocks Festival, which featured Frank Turner as a headliner. His previous release, Mrs. Blue, has accumulated over 5.7 million streams on Spotify and received airplay from Radio X and coverage from Earmilk. Additionally, six of his songs have been featured in episodes across all three seasons of HBO’s drama series Industry, co-created by his brother Mickey Down.

Down, based in Camden, began playing music at fourteen, drawing from jazz, rock, and soul influences. His grandfather was a wartime performer, singing for British troops during World War II. He was previously a member of the Bristol-based jazz ensemble BUJO, which toured in Europe. After returning to London, he focused on producing a soul album and performing live. His album 21st Century Living, released in 2020, addressed themes of love, heartbreak, and contemporary life.
His musical style incorporates elements of Paolo Nutini and Tame Impala, with inspiration from artists such as Marvin Gaye, Mazzy Star, Radiohead, Oasis, Blur, David Bowie, and Michael Kiwanuka. His 2025 EP is expected to feature a combination of psychedelic rock and soul, influenced by Radiohead and Mitski. Down produces his own music and performs with a backing band.
The new single blends elements of Mazzy Star, Radiohead, and Jeff Buckley, incorporating contemporary psych-rock elements akin to Skinshape and Khruangbin. The track features atmospheric reverb, with guitars played by Tom Herzberg, who appears on the cover art. Down has cited Radiohead, particularly the song Creep, as an influence, along with Mazzy Star. Lyrically, the song explores themes of ambition and morality, referencing a quote attributed to Bob Marley: “Live for yourself and live in vain but live for others and you will live again.”
